Where are we?

During a wonderful 80-mile ride with Mike Turuscio (Scooter for Fun) this afternoon, we came upon these unusual cows - panda cows?

I said, "Look - cows! Panda cows?"

Mike said, "Where are we?" Mike is a licensed pilot and boat captain. He must know where we are. "In a pasture with Panda cows" is enough for me- not for Mike. And he did find out our precise location. According to Google Maps on his cell phone, we were in a pasture with Panda cows.

Here, we are in Maine, looking into New Hampshire, where there are no Panda cows.

I've never seen Panda Cows before. I like your fall colours.

I think Mike is just pretending that he is lost. He is smart that way

    1. Bob,

I think I did poor old Mike wrong! I am the one who gets lost - but as a navigator dependent on his skills to keep from crashing on rocks or diving into the ground from 20,000 feet, he (yes, a bit obsessively) needs to know where he is.

  2. I am now confident that Lost is something I'll never be again.

Your maples are confident they know what time of year it is.

    1. Coop,

We are having a much more colorful fall this year - last year, the cold and the moisture came at the wrong time, and instead of pretty leaf color, we had just wet, brown leaves.

  3. Bob,

Thanks, Bob. Perfect day for a ride - for anything, really! Regarding the cows: I've been told that the breed is Belted Galloway.

Mike isn't lost - he simply needs to know his exact location, like he's at 50,000 feet or 2,000 miles from shore!

  4. Panda cows, wow.

Lost? What's lost? When riding it is the only place I never feel lost. A little anxious when low on gas, but never lost :^)

  5. Tom, I think I fall somewhere between the two of you. Like the belt on the Galloways. I'd be content to know that I was with panda cows in a pasture, but after savoring that thought for a while, I might sneak a peek at my iPhone.

    1. David,

Lacking a smart phone - I still use a phone that rode on the little school bus - I am inclined to trust my eyes. Although those cows baffled me...

  6. Panda cows - aka Oreo cows. I think Panda cows sounds like more fun.

Beautiful fall color. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Trobairitz,

Fall is here, indeed. But here's a secret - I had to play with the colors a bit with "Snapseed" off in the distance. The New Hampshire trees were quite dull.
